Directions

The Peumansend Creek Regional Jail is located off of Route 301, six miles from Bowling Green, Virginia. The facility is approximately 30 miles from Fredericksburg and 45 miles from the Richmond area.

From the North:

Follow Interstate 95 South to the Spotsylvania/Rt. 1 exit, #126. At the light, turn right and follow Rt. 1 South to Rt. 17. Turn left. Follow Rt. 17 until you come to the town of Port Royal. At the light, turn right. This is Rt. 301 South. Follow Rt. 301 South to mile marker 119. The entrance to the Peumansend Creek Regional Jail is on the right.

From the South:

Follow Interstate 95 North to the Bowling Green/Carmel Church exit, #104. Bear right on Route 207 and follow the signs to Rt. 301 North. Around mile marker 118, look for the signs for the Peumansend Creek Regional Jail. Turn left at the cross-over; the entrance to the facility is straight ahead.

From Culpepper:

Take Route 3 East. Follow Rt. 3 straight thru Fredericksburg and exit on Rt. 2 South. At the end of the exit turn right onto Rt. 2 South heading toward Bowling Green. Follow Rt. 2, passing Fredericksburg Country Club and GM Powertrain. Continue on Rt. 2 and it will intersect with Rt. 17. Turn Left onto Rt. 17 South and follow to Port Royal. Rt. 17 will intersect with Rt. 301 at Port Royal. Turn Right onto Rt. 301 South heading toward Bowling Green. Look for mile marker 119. At mile marker 119 is the entrance to the facility. Turn right into the facility.
